Superbowl weekend

Yesterday afternoon, Heather and I went out hiking at Donaldson Run and the Potomac Heritage Trail. Donaldson Run meanders through a wooded area near Potomac Overlook (in name only, since the overlook is long gone), and makes its way to the Potomac River. The stream has been the subject of a significant restoration process, in order to compensate for the development in the area. The woods and stream are a nice departure from the crowded urban jungle of Arlington County, and it is a really nice place to go for a walk.

This evening, I am going to be heading over to a friend's house to watch the Superbowl. While I am not a huge fan of NFL football (I find college football much more fascinating), I find the matchup between the Giants and the Patriots intriguing. It is an interesting possibility that the Patriots could have a perfect season this year. If the Patriots win, they will go down in the record books, but if they lose, they will likely be quickly forgotten. Either way, it makes for an interesting game.
