Cruising Through Summer

The first official day of summer (June 21) was only last week, but with July just around the corner, it feels like summer is moving along rapidly. Yesterday, I took advantage of the beautiful weather to go out riding my bike on two different bike rides, for a total mileage of 57 miles. It was my highest mileage point of the season, but I should be doing sixty to seventy mile rides soon enough.

Bike ride to Chelsea

The weather today in Ann Arbor was fairly hot, with today's high temperature of 91 degrees being unusually warm for the first week of June. Oddly enough, it was about ten degrees warmer here than it was in DC today, where earlier this week the temperatures were in the mid-nineties. Still, the heat didn't deter me from heading out on my bicycle out to Chelsea. It was a great bike ride, which included a lunch stop at Zou Zou's Cafe in Chelsea.
