Off to Mount Vernon

The weather in DC was beautiful this weekend. The skies were clear, and the temperature was only in the eighties. Granted, my friends from Michigan might still consider the weather hot, but it was much better than usual. On Saturday, I took advantage of the nice weather and went for a long bike ride on the Mount Vernon Trail. The Mount Vernon trail runs along the Potomac River all the way from Rosslyn to Mount Vernon, and is eighteen miles long. The northern section of the trail is usually packed with walkers, roller-bladers, and bicyclists, but as one rides away from DC, the trail becomes much less busy. I rode the entire trail down to the end at the Mount Vernon estate, and then back.

This week looks like it's going to be another busy week at work. I have a lot of competing priorities this week, so it will be interesting to see what I actually accomplish.

Ahhhh, I can't wait to come visit and see sights such as the one on that picture. I'm heading out to camp soon. Hopefully you will have internet by the time camp is done. This is getting funny. It is as if you are in the stone ages!
