Back to the daily grind

I drove back to Virginia from Michigan today. The drive was a bit longer than normal due to construction, so it took me nine hours and forty-five minutes to make it back to Virginia. My mood wasn't that great, since I wasn't looking forward to another work week in DC. The past year and a half of spending most of my time in Virginia has been lousy. My job has been really lame, my apartment is less than stellar, and my social life has been non-existent. Plus, to top it all off, having to park half a mile away from my apartment didn't help my mood much - have I ever mentioned how much I loathe Arlington? I guess it's time for me to start fixing this mess, since I'm the one who got myself into it.
